Our wafers are flatter!
Dear Customers and Development Partners,
Our 1”, 2”, 3”, and 4” GaN FET-on-Diamond wafers are now flatter – free-standing – than ever before. Prior to shipping them mounted on carriers as many customers request, they are now typically flatter and sturdier than ever before. The free-standing 1” wafers generally exhibit a 10µm bow. The 2” wafers exhibit a 50-70µm bow, the 3” wafers exhibit a <100µm bow, and the 4” wafers exhibit a <250µm bow.
While these free-standing bow figures are not yet perfect for all conventional lithography machines, they can be processed mounted on temporary carriers which further reduce their flatness to acceptable figures. The images below showcase some of our 4” wafers as mounted on carriers.
