Awesome looking wafers!
Dear Customers and Development Partners,
As if it were mundane or even simple, we make GaN-on-Diamond wafers today that look incredible “normal”. Check out the photos below. Throughput and capacity are still low but they are steadily rising with increasing customer demand.
Shown below is an unprocessed 3-Inch GaN-on-Diamond transistor epitaxial wafer (top), along with a fully processed 1-inch GaN-on-Diamond wafer that comprises of microwave circuits (bottom). Just 5-yrs ago, our wafers looked like potato chips at best, but nominally resembled particulates. The wafers shown here include “home-grown” diamond substrates (available at thermal conductivities of 800W/mK or 1,30001400 W/mK). We also now use a wider variety of GaN epitaxial layers from multiple sources. Because we are bound by our customers’ Non-Disclosure Agreements, we can’t share performance results from our wafers; we can share that they are performing exceptionally well and within theoretical expectations.

Please email me at sales@group4labs.com if you want to try a sample.
Warm Regards,
